460 won't run closed loop

my 460 won't run in closed loop mode, new o2 sensor. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this problem?

460 won't run closed loop

First be sure that all your other sensors are reading good, especially CTS and MAP. If all inputs are good, and basics such as fuel supply and ignition are good, chances are your computer needs to re-learn. You can quicken this process by disconnecting the battery cable for a minute to clear stored memory (I am assuming the truck is not OBD2). Then drive the truck, hold it at high RPM's freewheeling, let it idle, basically cycle it through the operating parameters. Ford computers take a long time to learn, I am talkin like hours of driving, so be patient, it will eventually start crossing. Good luck
