Several of the threads have mentioned the difficulty of dealing with the Security Torx Head Screws particularly with MAF sensors. Some folks have tried interesting ways of removing these screws.
I found a inexpensive set of these tools at www.cvfsupplycompany.com. The price was about $8 for the entire set plus UPS.
Go to the local flea market and find the guy with all the cheap tools! They usually have a set in a plastic box or rubber holder with about 20 diff. typs of security bits. I picked up the set I use on computers for about $15.00
I usually don't have a problem breaking out the center pin on the security torx; however, the ones they use on the MAF sensers seem a little harder and I've buggered more than one. Auto Zone sells the security torx bits, singles, for a couple bucks. I bought one just for MAF sensers. Trying to find a place to store the darn thing where I won't loose it is the hard part...
Just get a decent set of Pin-in-Torx drivers and shelve your regular set. The 'security' set works on em all.
While your at it, get the Pin-in-Hex, clutch, spanner and every other security bit you can find and you'll never look at a sticker that says "Do not open. No user servicable parts inside" the same way again.
