No flooding in this area John. There`s hardly any snow left so it maybe a very dry spring this yr.

What`s the price on the boat you`re looking at Steve? Not that it matters here but I`m curious. Mine is a1985 model.

Good evening Nova Scotia, Steve, John, seventy, bernette, Rich and who lurk here.
I doubt I`ll ever spend enough time on my boat to spend $20k on one, a few days here and there is about all I get around to doing.
Not into boats John?

I never had one Morris, had plans on building a canoe out of cedar but never did, I made the jig and milled the cedar just never built it and not likely will now..

Good morning Nova Scotia, Morris, John, bernette, seventy, Rich and any others who may have trudged up this way..

Had an Old Towne canoe for a while. Sold it to my son. I have 3 kayaks now. 2 are tandem and the other is a single. Used to hit the rivers a lot before my best friend passed away..

The idea of pontoons seems a lot safer John.
Sorry to hear of your best friend passing away Steve.

When I was in my teens, a friend of mine's father who was a scout master built several kayaks as a project for the scouts , they turned out really nice, my friend said they scooted across the water pretty swiftly. I never had the opportunity to try one. These guys were really into water sports, boating /canoeing/ kayaks and scuba diving

In high school my younger son built a kayak but sold it before trying it out.
