No so far. That ScanGauge is worth it's weight in gold. Just driving the truck, you'd have no clue that anything was wrong. All the while the EOT-ECT=31, the idiot dash gauges were just as happy as they could be.

Well it did cost me nothing, and it was worth it. He thinks he found the leak and fixed it. However, he forgot about the AC issue which STILL doesn't work. Also, I drove it about 30 miles tonight and the EOT-ECT stayed around 20-22, which is better than the 31 from Saturday, but not what I expect from a new oil cooler and thermostat. Bad oil temp monitor? Coolant level is good now.

Check temps in the morning to see if they are close. ECT vs EOT

Also, you can swap sensors, ECT with EOT. They are the same.

They are the same in the morning 1-2 degree difference on the SGII. Got a diagram as to where they are so I can swap 'em? Going now to check AC fuses. Can't get why these 2 problems started at the same time, but it has to be related.

With them being that close in the AM, they should be reading right at higher temps.

ECT is next to the T-stat:

EOT is here:

And a closer view to EOT sensor.

Looks like a daylight problem. I agree, it seems that, for some reason, my new oil cooler is not cooling. Thanks for the diagram. Just checked in cab AC fuses and both normal. Any AC fuse under the hood?

Let's see, what have we learned here?

AC wouldn't work because the clutch fell off of the compressor 2 weeks ago. I wondered what hit the bottom of the truck that day, and now I know. The degas bottle had a hole in it, thus the leak. As to temps, he could not get the EOT-ECT out to 20 like I did, despite driving it at 100 mph(!). I also was unable to go past 12 on my way home. No idea why that would be. All seems to be well now, but I suppose time will tell.
