Shorty Headers

Has anybody used these in an F Series?

What do you think about the flow for these headers?

Im waiting for my 446 FE and need to figure out what exhaust system I want. I like the idea of these cast headers for sealing and sound.

Shorty Headers

gtex,

I have a set of these that I am thinking about installing on my F100. I posted a similar question in another forum (not sure how to link it here).

the guy I got mine from said that these go for major $$$ on ebay. Just make sure the studs and ears are in tact.

I will follow your post - I am really interested in what others have to say who are using them.

Good Luck.

Here is my post from another forum https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...hreadid=120373

Shorty Headers

The passenger side frame rail needs clearance for the flange, also note the starter post wants to short out onto it, trim it as short as possible.

The driver side is fine unless you have the Bendix ps box, in that case forget it.

Shorty Headers

I got Bendix. I'm thinking that was the difference Dynomax forgot to account for with their headers. I had to mangle them to make it work.

Is anybody running a quality header on an FE/C6/Bendix PS 67-72 F Series?

Talking Shorty Headers

Back in the 70's when I was in HS I had a '55 F-100 that the previous owner had swapped a 390/FMX into. The boneyards in SoCal still had a pretty good variety of parts at the time,I found a set for $50,and had them installed along with dual turbo muffs.Going from a single to duals I noticed a small difference even with a worn out 390 in response.I don't recall having to do anything to the frame to make them fit,but I guess alot whould depend on how your motor is positioned in the eng bay (this concerns eng swaps).I'm supprised someone hasn't came out with a set made out of tubing considering all the FE/61-66 engine swap/header questions that are asked.Al
