That is a heck of a warranty and battery. Ones I got have 84 month with 2 year free replacement, $114 each installed.
Hard to beat those Les Schwab batteries Here is a link to a thread from earlier this year. http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/11...batteries.html
My 60 mo. 675 cc batteries from 06 are still doing the job. It started ok when the temp was 25 degrees no heater, It did start a little harder but not bad at all. I really think this cold weather is going to kill em this winter. IDK I really should replace them.
I put motorcrafts in my truck this time. The reason I went with motorcraft is I changed 2 recently. One was in Dad's V10 and was 10 years old, and the other was in my minivan and was 8 years old. Both original to the vehicles. I had new walmart specials in there and they did not crank it as well as the motorcrafts, don't know why. One of them went into my minivan (good enough for that, twice the size as the original anyway), and the other is in the shop yet.
I went with Motorcraft this time around on mine. I used to run the Autozoo gold tops, but they wanted me to pay a prorated charge this time, so I just took the partial refund instead. Those batteries don't last but about 2 years in my truck, and the 3 free year replacement now only counts from original purchase. If (when) the replacements fail, you get a pro-rated amount from the original purchase date.
My gold top history was, bought in 07, replacement in 2008 from failed autozoo alternator, replacement in 2010, no start / dead batteries last month (2012).

The way the EPA looks at things, I wouldn't be surprised if all lead acid batteries are made in China in the near future, so if you think it's bad now.......
I just found my notes from when I bought these batteries a couple months ago so I thought I would fill in the blanks on the details. Our local Deka dealer quoted me $92.95 each for the Group 65 batteries (875 CCA) and said that they would carry a 36 month prorated / 18 month full replacement warranty. The local Ford dealer quoted me their Group 65 batteries (rated at 850 CCA) for $119.95 each, but they carried a 36 month free replacement and 100 month prorated warranty. Needless to say I spent the extra coin and got them from Ford.
Motorcraft. 850CCA(what is supposed to be in there) a 3 year FREE replacement warranty. and $110 each. Was a no brainer for me. I run Motorcraft batteries in all 9 of my truck
