Few weeks ago I just replaced mine. They lasted 5 plus years so went with the same brand.

I Just replaced mine a couple months ago and was looking very seriously at Deka until the local dealer told me about their warranty. I think he said it was 36 months pro-rated if it was going in a gas vehicle and 24 if I put it in a diesel vehicle. I was really disappointed with that, so I went back to Ford for $20-30 more a piece and got the same Motorcaft batteries that I had before. Ford's warranty was, by far the best one of any that I looked at (NAPA, Deka, Duralast, Walmart, and Motorcraft). They've been in there maybe 4 months so far and I have no complaints. I don't know if I buy it or not, but the guy at the dealership (Parts counter manager) said he would bet money that the batteries that I turned in were OEM originals. Again, I don't know if I buy that or not, but he said that was the case because they didn't have any labels, date stamps, marketing or anything in them. Who knows but they carry a pretty good prorated warranty on them.

Don't get Optimas....... I'm putting XS Power batteries in this one probably next year. My Optimas are 4 years old and not near as strong as they once were. Never had anything but problems with Interstates when I ran them 6 years ago too. Much worse than the Optimas have been. I'm running an XS Power in my F-150 and it's been great. We'll see how long they last, but they are supposed to last a long time.

Edit: Motorcraft batteries are good batteries too. Especially for the money.

I just went with the Ford Mototcrafts. I have one in my Jeep that's lasted 7 years and that's using a winch on it. I have also had them in my 97 Powerstroke for 3 years with no issues. EDIT: Forgot to mention you need to get the heavy duty ones with 850cc amps.

So I went with the Sears Platinum P-2. It's an AGM battery with a 100 month warranty and a 4 year free replacement.

They are apparently Odyssey batteries which have very good reviews. 980 CCA.

Part of the decision was the fact that I got $45 off online so it was just under $400.

I have heard good things on those batteries. A friend of mine got some about 2 years ago. Still going great last I heard.

I've got 3 winters on Optimas. No problems yet, but when they go, I'll go to Motorcrafts

When I was looking at batteries for my Ex, I spent a crapload of time reading on here about what people thought about different kinds and found this:

Who makes Interstate batteries « Batteries | Compare Reviews and Trusted Advice from Battery Experts

I decided to go with duralast golds in the Excursion.

That is a heck of a warranty and battery. Ones I got have 84 month with 2 year free replacement, $114 each installed.
