Sooooo... With all the nice POSITIVE comments about the 13' Platinum in here, I thought "What better way to intro my self to the group" Well here goes... Im Kit, here is my first SD.
Thank you; as I felt it was a bold step posting that in here : ). I do have an idea of some things i plan to do to it... all in all i traded a 12' 150 ecoboost on it bc of the mpg not living up to what i was sold (I tow a 7k Lbs boat). It was beautiful to put the first hundred miles on it today and see 20.3 mpg! There are a few things that my 12' 150 plat had that this doesn't have, most are worth it for that shiny silver tailgate!! kidding... anyway, thanks for the welcome and look forward to all help and advice i can yield and grab from all y'all!!

Kit, great looking Platinum, congrats. I just ordered a Plat last Friday, tuxedo black w/ black interior. The color matched bumpers caught my eye as did the fresh styling in general. Now my wait begins, dealer says 10-12 weeks most likely for delivery. I'm somewhat on the fence with the tailgate bling but it's growing on me.
Its weird I put my name in for one over a month ago and I just got news that it is being built December 5th and won't be in town til early Jan. How did you get yours so fast, must be near kentucky I guess.
Walked in and told em I was pissed bc the 150 plat they just sold me had to be towed off a boat launch by a dodge and they needed to provide a solution. 2 days later I had this : ). Yes from Kentucky.
Welcome Kit! Congrats on the new truck! Regardless of what we all think, your truck is yours. As long as you like it. A few dealers in my area have some platinums and they're supposedly going faster than anticipated. I found a white one I like a lot, but that darn tailgate design.

Now y'all don't laugh, but I may try to plasti dip that thing ha

There's an idea!
I'm just not a huge fan of chrome. Especially a huge block of it with minimal break.
If it could be painted to break up the chrome, paint the middle horizontal section to match. Or even the top and bottom to minimize the entire thing. I can visualize that and be ok with it.

I ordered a 13 Platinum this afternoon, all the goodies. Tuxedo Black and blk interior.
I believe that you can load music onto a SD card and plug it into the radio system. I could load most if not all of my iTunes library onto a 32 gig card. It's not a hard drive but close I think.
Cheers, Doug
Actually, in the wife's Audi there is iphone/ipod, usb, sd, hdd, cd, dvd input - and the SD card sounds the best of them all...
iphone/ipod has too much compression/decompression...
hdd sounds good,
sd is just cleaner and less 'conversion'
and the ability to put two 32 gig sd cards, she can have a LOT of music....
Welcome to FTE and the 6.7 section. I hope you enjoy your truck and this forum. In the end it doesn't matter what out gripes are with the platinum...just that you are happy with your decision.
+1
Enjoy the truck - it's what you like that's important
You got any immediate upgrades/mods on the wish list
Mine was mud flaps and Weather Tech Floor mats - did that the first week
