Best shocks?
Sorry for the thread hijack,
Snuggy, did you do the work yourself? Where did you buy the parts at and what tools do you need to change out the tire rod end?
Thanks

dave,
here below is a pic from my album of a busted seal on the outer tie rod & outer drag link. imagine looking at it from the front of ur car at the passenger side wheel.

on this pic below here is the one which i replaced with new parts. u will see the difference.

note: if any of the seals look torn or busted or leaking, then it's definitely best to change it out with a new part. if not, it will affect the steering. i noticed a difference in mine when i switched out the old one for the new one. world of difference.
hope this helps.

Of cos I did it myself. Lol.
Bunch of tools I got, but they're basic tools. Deep sockets, torque wrench to 150 ft lbs, extensions, pipe wrench. Make sure sockets are metric. They're better fit.
I got my parts from Ford dealership. I have a contract with Ford dealership to purchase parts at warehouse prices and I pay no taxes.
If ur planning on doing the tie rod end by the passenger wheel, u just need to get the tie rod end up to the adjusting sleeve. U don't need to buy the long tie rod and adjusting sleeve. Also, I think u need a new clip for the lock nut cover. That's cheap and u can find it at any hardware store.
The pipe wrench comes in handy when u need to twist off the old part and twist in the new part.
Take the tire off. Much easier. Sorry. Right now my info is all over the shop. If u need more details, please send me a PM. If u want, u can view pics in my album.
