Back shocks

I got an 86 BII no lift ...I want to get the back suspension stronger ......I am not a pro but know how to handle a few tools and am looking for the best way to get it a bit more strong back there. Is there a set of shocks that will do that or is it a leaf thing I will need to upgrade. I know my shocks are not bad yet but could be upgraded without a doubt....Any thoughts ...TR

Shocks more or less damper the travel. To fix the root of the problem you should start with the springs. Once your springs are right then you can change your dampening with different shocks. I like a normal "softer" shock up front like a Monroe LT and in the rear I like something stiffer like a Rancho.

I put these on mine. Nice and firm, no more lean in turns and curves.
They are Monroe Sensa-Trac, Load Adjuster shocks, part# 58608. I paid $97.99 for the pair at O'Reillys.
