73 died while idle at light

73 died while idle at light

Truck had been running great lately, but died last week at a red light. Towed it home, was able to start the next day with difficulty, but died in idle after about 30 seconds. Fuel pump seems to be working fine.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Coil? Module?

'73 shouldn't have a module, it should be points and condenser.
Check to see if you have spark. If there is none clean the points and check the gap. 6cyl .025" V8 .017"

No points, ignition was converted by a previous owner.

With my experience/knowledge being extremely limited I have:
-Checked that the fuel pump is working
- Inspected one spark plug from each side, both appeared normal
- Inspected the rotor/cap which looked okay

Pull the coil wire out of the distributor cap and hold it about 1/4" away from the intake manifold. Have someone turn the engine over and watch for spark, you should have a strong blue/white spark.
