Front hubs.
Had a vacuum pull to my hubs all the time so when i took them off to check things out i noticed ive got a hub thats hard to lock and unlock by hand. Took the guts out of it but the problem is in the locking mechanism. It feels like its rubbing on the hub housing when i turn it. Is there any way of getting it out of the hub housing?. I cant get it to come out.all help is always appreciated.

Once they start binding you are done, lube will free them for a little while but they will bind up again. The only cure is to replace it.

Atf is auto trans fluid. It actually worked decent, but now from trying to work it loose ive got a small hole in the center of the hub. Here we go again, 100 bucks here, 100 bucks there........never ends with my truck.

I called the ford dealer about replacement hubs. The parts guy quoted me almost $400 each..... I about fell over... that's nuts.... I have one that's sticky
I can turn it by hand sometimes its pretty stiff though. My Auto engage isn't working. I need to do the re lubing and check the vacuum soon.

Gut the hub and soak it in atf like i did. I let it sit submerged for a day and at least i can move it by hand now. Think ill take some jb weld and patch the hole ive got now. Seems to work like it should. The vacuum problem i had a couple days ago seems to have dissappeared. I think when i actuated the 4by switch it freed up the pvh solenoid so now i dont have that issue anymore. ....i about fell over to when i started pricing hubs.
