engine wise nothing, pumps turned up one flat thats it, um i have a 3" lift, a 4" straight pipe into a 10" tip and thats really all thats done, thats why im looking for things to do because i dont wanna mess anything up so im doin it little by little...
and when i get the tubo is it better to get a waste gated turbo or non wate gated??? and i know i sound stupid but whats the difference between the two what does it mean?
Do some reading up on cavitation, there are a few around here that have handy link, that will answer SCA's.
I found Wyotech to be an over-rated waste of time and money.
Here is your parts list:
Head studs
head gaskets
150cc DB4
matched injectors
custom turbo kit or highly upgraded ATS 093
7.3 or 6.0 intercooler
500hp clutch
traction bars
- and of course guages, but sounds like you have that covered.
Do you know how to search this forum by pacific words? Up top u can do a search on anything that might be in this forum. Citation is like a stroke for people. Your screwd. You need to use a good brand of antifreeze with and additive for our engines or get the right kind with scas already in it. Besides its winter a radiator flush would be good insurance for your block
and yeah idk about wyotech i talked to the owner of all out diesel down here and he said he wont even hire guys that come in and show him all the certifications, becuase he likes to do stuff his way and doesnt want someone telling him otherwise, and thats the company i actually want to work for, i also am buying a ats turbo kit from him for now until i get some good money to spend and imma do the little work to gain some power, he was actually really cool..

Thats something ive heard quite alot actually. When i was working for this body shop in boise the owner hired two "kids" that went to wyotech for autobody and paint. One lasted 2 weeks the other 6.. not that they did it wrong, they just didnt do things his way, and they werent teachable. I can tell you from first hand experience, i took business /diesel. The business class curiculum was EXACTLY the same as the high school business math i took as a soph. and the only reason i took it was because i wanted an easy A instead of having to take geometry lol. Long story short i dropped out in the 3rd week of diesel because all the do is shove worthless info down your throat and name drop alot. The teachers are there for a paycheck, and dont care if you learn anything let alone get a job. Then when its all said and done you cant get a job anyway because you need 20 grand worth of tools and at least 2yrs experience before they even look at you.
My advice, dont go to wyotech. Go to college, even if its a community, preferably one with a diesel class, maybe some ag, welding etc. then sweet talk your buddy at the diesel shop into letting you help out as an apprentice and work up from there.
If you do go to wyotech tho, Laramie is a pretty dang fun town if you like to wheel and party , colder than ... well its stupid cold there in the winter lol
Back on the real topic. The list i gave you, will net your 350-400whp and its easy. On top of that, it wont even cost that much.
lol thats the one i was thinkin about goin to
But alright ill start with that list thanks man and ill probably go with a 6.0 intercooler ive heard theyre better than the 7.3s
