red locking dial

Hey gents i need your help again one of the red dials on my 76 hiboy is broken and i cant lock my wheel. my napa said its a dealer part my ford dealer said he doesnt have any so where can i buy one? i need to use 4x4 before winter gets here.

Try a junkyard, or pickup a new set hubs, mile-marker and warn are good.

D2TZ-1A029-A .. Lockout Hub Actuating **** / Obsolete

"High Boy" applications: 1972/75 F250 4WD with 3.5M capacity front axle / 1976/77 F250 4WD / 1 available NOS, sent you a P/M with the source.

Is it broken where the pin goes through the ****? if so, that can be easily repaired with a piece of PVC pipe, otherwise the junkyard is your best bet for a used ****.

If your heart's set on a NOS **** JST Automotive in TN. has (1) 50 bucks.

These guys QU40256 Spicer Hub Dial also have a few NOS *****, again, 50 bucks.

The 12 dollar Dennis Carpenter NOS ***** have long since sold out.

I found these NOS ***** on ebay, i reckon they too will go for around 50 bucks each when all is said and done.

Since there is only ONE available NOS, I didn't want to post the source as someone else might snag it. You just "let the cat oughtta the bag."

I think that is a C8TZ-1A029-A which is the turn *** for the 68-72 dana 44. He needs the D2TZ-1A029-A like Bill stated. This one will not work for him. He has a dana 44HD.

Sorry ND, i know you have access to sources that i don't, so i wasn't sure if we were both referring to the same NOS dealer or not.

Thanx for the help gents. i really dont like the idea of paying $50 for a little plastic part so i think i will try repairing it. how do i fix it with the pcv pipe?

The pic below is pretty self explanatory, take a section of PVC, cement it in place, drill new holes for the cam pin.

That pipe fix worked out great thanx montana_hiboy i love a $2 fix! but i need your gents help again. the rubber seals around the red dials are brittle and cracking and i cant find these anywhere either. canu you help? plus when i took them apart they were filled with watery oil. shouldnt there be some kind of grease in there? what should i use when i repack them? thanx
