The issue at hand is an intermittent network disconnect of multiple modules in an, 2009 F-150 5.4 liter V8 pickup. U0073 with this disconnect issue my trucks dash lights come on including the cruise control light, high beam light, check engine light, check cooling system, check charging system etc all the lights in the dash come on. While the lights in the dash are flashing, the gauges go to maximum, then to zero then back to where they were. The truck seems to go into a “safe mode” not allowing me to drive faster than 40 MPH and occasionally shutting off. After this issue occurs I have brought it into Luther only for them to tell me that it is not currently disconnecting and that they write down the codes clear them and say that they need the issue/disconnect to happen in front of them.fficeffice" /><O></O> The issue itself only lasts a few seconds with the network seeming to come back online sometimes. I can shut my truck off when the issue occurs and it clears it sometimes, other times I am not able to start my vehicle for several minutes. The dealership states they need the issue to reoccur in front of them. While dealing with Eric at the dealership has been helpful, although my truck is no closer to being fixed than the day that I brought it in, July 2012. Eric has stated that Ford Corporate hotline has directed him and his mechanics to try various things including self checking all modules which have tested to be fine, replacing the PCM, testing various wires, all have not fixed the issue. While my truck seems to have not consistent event that triggers the issue, speed it occurs at 30 MPH, 55PH, and 75, MPH, it has also occurred while being stopped. The temperature has no effect 75-90 degree days and down to 15-20 degree days. Day and or night, in 4X4 or in 2X4 while I am not a mechanic, I find it hard to believe that with an issue as large as one that can shut my truck off and lose connection with numerous modules cannot be fixed or diagnosed.
