IDI cab on a PSD?

Do any of you know if the idi cabs have the wiring for the PSD throttle? I'm looking for a good cab and have a few leads on old idi cabs. I assume the wiring within the dash and cab is the same, only thing missing would be the stuff for the electronic throttle.

If any of you could look at your 92-94 idi's for me that would be great, closest one to me to look at is 4 hours away..

TIA

Mine have no wiring for the PSD throttle. That's on a '93 and a '94 IDI.
I also wouldn't assume that the instrument wiring is the same...

for going from a simple mechanically controlled engine to a computer controlled one, there is sure to be a lot of extra wiring to chase around. if your existing cab has good wiring, you might be able to move everything over, but don't expect to be done in a weekend

Actually there shouldn't be any extra wiring to chase around, manufactures don't like specialty stuff, it slows down production and adds cost.

On a psd everything that connects the engine to the PCM & IDM is outside the cab. There is just the big plug on the firewall that plugs in to the cab. This is what led me to think that the IDI cabs might have the same wiring inside as the PSD cabs. When the new style came out they knew the PSD was on it's way and possibly started making only one diesel harness for both.

Thanks for looking guys.

The wiring to the instruments is different between '93 IDIs and '94 IDIs...
Ford changed the cluster, and different wiring resulted...
It makes sense to me as well that they should be the same, but Ford didn't ask me, either...

That sucks. I know they changed the cluster again in 95.

Anyone have the pin out for the giant plug that goes out the front of the cab to the harness in the engine bay. That is what really matters, as long as they pin out the same everything would work.

to use an IDI cab on a powerstroke truck, you will need to change the complete wiring harness in the cab to the powewrstroke harness. nothing is compatable.
just like putting a gas cab on a diesel.
the complete wiring harness needs to be changed.
i just went through this when putting an 87 gas cab on my 88 diesel.
