i have a strange issue going on with my truck, and wonder, is this happening as i drive, or is someone messing with my truck while im at work. seems i have found one or both my hubs locked in when i didnt do it. is it possible for a hub to lock itself up with just everyday driving? maybe worn parts? the 4x works great when they are locked and shifted in, and nothing unlocks on its own. no vibrations or anything when not shifted into 4x. ive never seen this in many years of 4x4's.
Yeah I have a buddy that does that crap to me every time he's out here. Keep a eye on ot & find out whos doing it then go put a handfull of rocks in their hub caps & SUPER GLUE the hub cap back on.
I have had that happen before but it was because the wheel bearing locking ring arrangement was not correct on my D60. I guess whoever had it couldn't figure out why it would try to lock the dial on its own usually only to point where it made a loud clicking while driving. I'd say if its fully locked someone is messing with you.
