what should i do for resonable preformence and daily driving???
Try going to Holley's website. They have a great calculator to use where you input your engine specs and modifications and they will suggest which carb to use. It's a very nice online tool.
My own personal preference are Holley carburetors.
On a 351 I wouldn't go any larger than around a 600cfm 4bbl with vacuum secondaries. Your preference on whether it's an automatic or manual choke and if it's an auto trans., go with one that has the Ford kickdown linkage.
I agree Mike. Love the Holley carbs cause they are a snap to rebuild and easy to tune. Using their carb selector, they recommended a 650 w/electric choke for my mildly built 460. She runs great with it.
I can never remember if your UserID starts with an "o" or a "0"... hence, .. +Zeros.. or would you like "Oh"s? Then it'd be "Mike OhOhOhOhOhOh".... sounds painful!

actually it's mike oh, zero, oh, zero, oh, zero. I can thank AOL for that one. Years ago, when AOL was about the only game in town (remember dial up?), I joined up. The screen name I chose was already taken and they assigned me that one. Why bother changing it? It's only my AOL screen name and e-mail no big deal.....Flash forward 20 years, NOW that %$#!#$ name is tied to just about everything I do .
Don't feel bad HIO, that name throws EVERYBODY.
sounds like good advice. i kinda like my summit 750 double pumper, but it was too much for what i needed and i think id try the smaller one's still, theyre really easy to work with being holley-based all the jets and parts transfer
I prefer holley to edelbrock, Holley builds one HE11 of a product. Mine have always run awesome, even my brother took one I had because it ran so well then I just made another one that ran awesome too. Good luck.
