Missing at idle and under power

The truck: 2003 F250 2WD, 7.3, 195K miles, no mods.

Replaced valve cover gaskets and harness on both sides which fixed the problem with really rough running and sounding like a 4 cylinder car.
Changed fuel filter (NAPA Gold), Oil (5-40 synthetic) and filter, and air filter.
Truck had rough idle but ran out good.
Added Power Service injector cleaner to see if I could improve the idle.
After a hard run the truck started missing and running rough at idle and under power. CEL came on.
Replaced CPS. No change, still missing.
Checked ICP and found oil in the connector. Cleaned connector and replaced ICP. No change, still missing.
Bought ScanGauge this weekend it shows no codes?? Maybe it cannot read them?
Checked oil level in HPOP, OK. Dropped HPOP oil plug which disappeared, will pick a new one up today.
Any thoughts? Anyone with a scanner or know of a good shop in the Chandler, AZ area?

Did ohm test on injectors. #3 came in as 1.2 ohms all the rest were in the 4.0 area. Pulled cover and found pins good checked everything independently all showed good. Plugged #3 back in and now it checks ok. Has anyone had problems with the connector at the injector? (NAPA parts were used for previouse replacement)

I used OEM parts for my UVCH. It didn't fix my rough idle completely, but I had no other issues with the Ford parts.

It is possible that your ICP connector has been "wallowed" out. I had to replace my pigtail after removing the "10K mod". They're not cheap from the Ford house.

Has your SES come back after fixing the connection at the injector? If so, you need to find someone who can pull codes on your truck. The OBDII readers will not pull codes on our trucks. AE is a great investment and will pay for itself rather quickly.

Also, did you do the 50 cent mod when you did the UVCH? Did you make sure there were no burnt pins on the harness? My center pin on the pass side harness had a bunch of melted plastic on it. It took quite a bit of cleaning but I didn't have time to get new pigtails shipped.

As a quick check, would also recommend checking the pigtail closely. Similar to what Mike is saying, replaced a UVCH and VC gasket only to find later that I had some minor interior burnt portions at the pigtail connection outside the VC. Ohming the VC pins didn't catch that, only careful visual inspection of that plug and wires at the back of it.

Still have the VC off.

I checked ohm reading at the connector on top of the DS valve cover and found #3 at 1.2 with all others checking at 3.8 - 4.2.

Pulled the pigtail at the PS valve cover and checked #3 there as well and it still read 1.2 so the issue had to be in the valve cover gasket or the harness.

Pulled the connector off of #3 injector and checked each line from pigtail to connector and found no problem. Checked th injector directly and it was ok at 4.3.

Put the connectors back together and now #3 checks ok at 4.2.

Makes no sense to me that it would have read low resistivity and then just unplugging and replugging would fix the issue???

Where are you Doug? Perhaps someone with AE can give you a hand reading the codes. Normal OBDII readers can't pull most codes from our trucks. Once we can get some idea of what the CEL is being triggered by we can go from there.

That's what I did, no one in Portland had it and was sick of dropping $100 at the dealer just to get codes read.

If your ICP has oil in it then you need to replace it. It is either failing or about to fail. Two vendors for that part.
