try looking at ebay:
I bought new front spring hangers, ext length shackles and a rear block kit for a real god price!
IM me if you want ebay item #
I have installed this kit on my 02, kept my stock leaf springs all around
Just bought new Bilstein 5100s because my Ranchos were crap
buy the rancho add-a-leaf / leveling kit. i had blocks and had to replace the ball joints several times. the geometry gets screwed up if you don't change the springs. i use my truck on harsh dirt roads so the front suspension gets hammered hard. the 7.3 is heavy. dual shocks is another good addition. if your not "using" your truck you can get away with "cosmetic" parts.
Don't they sell Traction bars that can act as blocks though? so it would prevent the axle wrap and wheel hop. I saw them somewhere i cant find them or remember how much they were.
I am currently lifting my truck a little using the Rough Country add a leafs in the front and rear and an exteded shackle in the front to level it. Im also replacing all the bushings with Energy Suspension bushings while I have it torn down. I will let you know how it turns out. I am using the Zone adjustable track bar and the procomp drop pitman arm too.
... from what I've determined I have a stock front end with stacked blocks in the rear.
The blocks in the rear come to 3 1/2 inches.
My plan is to replace the blocks in the rear with 4 inch aftermarket ones. This is the kit I'm looking at.
Hi LeRoy.
What you actually have in the back is one block, which is the F250 block that is about 2.5" or so (outlined in red) and the part below that is the spring perch that is welded to the axle tube (outlined in green).
You have lots of options for a slight level/lift, so you should get lots of ideas.
Welcome to FTE, and please post some pics of your truck.
I'm kind of set on the Zone kit, but I did a little more looking around and am considering the Rough Country kit and not sure what the advantages/disadvantages are for spring or shackle kit. I know you get what you pay for, is Rough Country not highly regarded for our trucks?
The RC spring kit comes with a new trac bar. Is there anything else I would need to purchase to complete the job? If I do the shackle kit, do I still need a trac bar?
Thanks for the info on the rear blocks. I just seen what looked like two and remembered seeing someone else who said they had stacked blocks and it was dangerous.
Ordered the Zone leveling kit this morning. Also ordered Rancho shocks to go with it, but realize now I bought the wrong part. I bought the shock for 2.5 Ranchos Leveling kits and after thinking about it believe I need a stock shock since the shock mount is elevated with the Zone lift.
