I went with the Summit 2 1/2 kit (spring pack style) because it had the long leafs and I wanted to add some arch back to my sagging front springs, which it did. I am pleased with its quality.
I have a performance sales 2.7" mini sping pack and so far it's worked fine. A lot of people suggest an adjustable track bar so the axle stays centered under the truck but I didn't need one. If you get a mini pack, stay away from ones that have their packs welded. Use red lock tite on the bolts too!
I bought a new ProComp 2" kit from a guy that never got around to installing it for $100. I like this option better than the Ebay shackle only kits as it comes with front hangers also. Look around, there are deals to be found.
there are two different styles of leveling kits on this thread in posts 4 and 7 can anyone help me out on which one is the best bang for my buck. any help is appreciated
#4 is a mini spring pack, #7 is an add-a-leaf. #4 will maintain stock ride quality, #7 will probably make it stiffer. Bang for the buck? I'd say it's a draw.

actually thats backwards, #4 is an add-a-leaf, and 7 is a mini spring pack
I bought this kit a while back, and it isn't 2.7". The spring pack is EXACTLY 2" (4 1/2 inch plates) so I fail how to see where the says it will provide 2.7" of lift. However, it did provide exactly 2" to my truck and i have 35" with no rubbing (ok, some rubbing if at full lock and driving over a bump). Ride quality remained the same, and shocks were reused. I do want to put new shocks all around though. EASY install as well. Given the cheapness (cost) i figured i'd try it out, and if I decided later to go bigger, it wouldn't set me back too much.
i got my kit direct from rough country, its a 2.5 but its actual lift was3.25 on the front. i also got the add a leasf for the back and it seems alright so far.the lift rides stiffer than stock, but thats what i wanted out of it. the price wasn't bad and it all bolts on with a little time
