Years ago between VW's, and Muscle cars I looked into Predator's for a slightly lifted truck F250 mild pre-runner I had to build.
They obviously are a variable venturi design that supposedly built on, and "perfected" the Ford design.
Beyond the fact I could find people who ran them in drag racing. I could never find anyone personally who had one on the street. Lots of that be cool, if I had money, and a friend has one in a box.
Supposedly their problem was a "transition circuit" causing a low speed stumble that was sort hard or a bit difficult to tune out. About as hard as a Edelbrock or Carter if you used it on a non-stock motor compared to a Holley for instance, but also the Ford carb killed the concept in peoples mind. Plus not having the lineage of the other two during the muscle car era, and being far different. Also being as expensive as a built Holley ready to run out of the box was its death nail to many people.
If someone gave me one I would tweak on it for days to get it right, but not at those prices.
