My 2004 F-350 with 6.0 Diesel starts up fine with little smoke or chatter. When I start down the highway and the auto transmission shifts through 3rd or 4th the truck starts to miss/jump badly. I coax it along gently for a few miles and after it warms up it does great. What's up?
It has 143,500 miles and has just had the following maintenance by the dealer:
Oil and filter, Fuel Filters, EGR service, tranmission fluid change, transfer case fluid change, differinial fluid change, injectors cleaned, and new batteries.

Just my .02 but I had this happen a while back on my old truck, and the culprit was a bad torque converter. My symptom litteraly made the whole truck jump. I thought it was an engine problem. Couldn't figure it out for a while, and it ended up junking my tranny. Luckily I was never stranded, but still tranny's are not cheap to have rebuilt.
My other idea would probably be an injector issue though.
