hi folks... sorry to bring back an old thread but I'm using the search feature as i find myself in a similar situation.

I have a 1974 2wd f100 300ci that needs a dipstick. The PO decided to put a screw in the dipstick tube -- who knows what happened to the dipstick!

numberdummy - i tried to PM you but the system wont let me send you one. the magic you worked above for the 4x4 300ci -- do you see anything for a 2wd?

anyone reading this thread have a lead on a dipstick for a 1974 2wd f100 300ci? I'll buy the tube as well if needed!

thank you
John

Can't help with a specific part, but in the past I have used a piece of 3/8 fuel line with a flared nut fitting that screwed right in, cut to about 3" length. I calibrated a blank stick by the 'add oil' method. Or, you can reverse engineer the tube length to match your existing stick if you have one. Good luck.

Kinda at my wits end. I am the original owner of a 1979 F150 4X4 with the 4.9L 300CI six. I have a bad oil leak at the dipstick tube. I have tried to seal it with black RTV to no avail. I have been checking for 2 months trying to locate another tube but no luck. You seem to be the master and determining if any new OEM parts exist anywhere and I was wondering if you could do that for me?
Thank you.

Hey Jobby -- i am 99% sure i've got one. I pulled a 300CI out of my '79 f150 4x4 and am swapping in a 460. I'm only 1% not sure because i just have to see where i placed it. I wont be out to the shop until 11/26, so if you can hold for just a bit longer we can iron it out.

send me a pm so i dont forget

I am not certain if you are looking for the "tube" or the dip stick, but NumberDummy posted D7TZ-6750-D and there is one currently listed on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-1977-19...-/362052997180

Yes I saw that but I need the tube only. I even asked the seller if by chance he had the tube to go along with the dipstick but struck out. Thanks for checking for me anyways.
