using coolant...temps all show normal...

I have a 2005 ford excursion 6.0. I recently added Banks IQ to monitor temps on ex. Prior to adding banks i was using coolant. I had the dealer do a pressure test, came back fine. I was told to monitor my coolant temps and oil temps. They are both within 6-9 degrees of each other...not the 15 i hear is a head gasket issue. Am i seeing signs of pre head issue? I see no coolant in oil and nothing coming out the tailpipe...Thoughts?

What are you using for the level on the expansion tank. Your high mark should be the old low mark on the tank. Dealer should have put a sticker on it at the lower level. You should only fill to that level and leave it alone. Mine will use some coolant over this lower line, but now it's at the line, hasn't moved at all. It's also possible you have a bad cap. With t hose deltas I don't think you have problem.

One place to check is the heater control valve. They sometimes
leak and don't show it as well and our other leaks.

You might. But it could also drip while driving and they you
would not see it. Also it's so close to the AC that it may also mix
with the water from the AC. You don't need the heat on to make it leak.
Also it would run down the side of the engine and past the exhaust
manifold and could evaporate very quickly and not make it to the ground.
Go have a look at the valve and see if there are nay white marks on the side
and bottom or it. It's worth checking and does not cost money to look at.
