simple- put everything in it's own box -- fill the shop with boxes and you don't have to worry about it anymore as you know it's in the shop !!!

I knew without a doubt that I put my VIN plate above the shop door. Today I was going to put it back on the glovebox door. YEP! I couldn't find it. I looked in every box and corner, each drawer of my tool boxes. Gave up and went to the truck and opened the glovebox to adjust the clasp. YEP! I put it on weeks ago. Then I remembered that put it on upside down originally. I thought of this thread right away and laughed it off.
