Unless you want to drive normal, you need them.
Don't listen to anyone who says you don't.
Go look at some videos, and see for yourself.
The axle wrap on these things is ridiculous.
In the videos where they show the axle wrap with tunes, it's crazy for christ sakes, go watch that, then decide for yourself.
It is said that is the reason the seals weep so much on the diff's.
Edited:
Be sure you realise the difference between the options before ordering anything, if you do.
The arms going from the axle to the frame, in 2 seperate spots, makes the axle act as the worls largest stabilizer bar. Not good if you want wheel travel for offroading.
Neither. Just a toy/daily driver. It is kind of squirly on the highway during a full throttle pass so I'm sure the suspension is twisting up..
It probably is.
Before you do anything, check you're tuner for clutch slip, I heard of similar issues from guys that were about to lose they're lockup torque converter
As you can see there are decisions to be made before ordering stuff and bolting it on.
The main "overall" option with stabilising the rear axle, is weather you want to stabilise it with 1 fixed point, or 2.
With 1, you eliminate axle wrap, and maintain axle travel on uneven terrain. This is good for offroading.
With 2, you eliminate axle wrap, and stiffen the rear end, so you get very little side to side action.
This would be very good for day to day, highway, and pulling, but not offroad, as if you travel you're rear wheel over a hole, it will stay level with the other wheel.
(but the truck will ride more stable, you essentially are using the entire rear axle for a giant stabiliser. )

As stated above the axle wrap in these trucks is pretty bad. If you do any type of towing track bars are hands down an asset to have, prior to installing them on my truck, the truck had a horrible shudder when i would take off from a light or any dead stop towing a heavy trailer. After the install, the shudder was eliminated completely. For a DD only the installation and cost may not be worth it IMHO.
I don't know who you have looked at but One up off road, and Precision metal fab are two good company's to look at. I went with the Precision Metal fab on mine.
