new guy needing help
hi i have 74 f250 with a 360 engine mated with a c6 tranny. i will post pics of it when im able. i want to put some love into this truck because my grandpa gave it to me before he pasted away. so im thinking i can spend about 1500 dollars on the truck. the tranny is slipping in reverse. but have a used tranny to put in. what should i do to the used tranny before i put it in? like upgrades or things like that. engine runs stong thinking on replacing all gaskets that leak. thinking on headers or a carb to give it more power. looking to do the suspension also. what do you guys think? all ideas are welcome.

Assuming, nothing is really wrong with the truck, other then normal stuff.
If its a f250. Most likley you have already power steering / Power brake.
Look at what Connor ( CRSWEET ) has done to the inside of his truck,

What made the biggest difference in my truck, (other then mechanical stuff like power steering / brake) is the sound proofing, thru floor, door and window seal.
Everywhere i could, inside door panel, overhead, i put insulation. IT made the world of a difference.
