Just daily driving some pulling, the reason I ask is I have heard that the C6 takes away alot of your power I am rebuilding and it has a NP435 but I kind a like a automatic but if it takes to much of my power I will stick with the 4 speed.
If you like an auto, use the C6. If you build your motor right, you won't notice it much. You could go E4OD with a stand-alone controller if you want to go nuts....
Thanks,
The E4OD would free up alot of RPM's and help on gas milage would'nt it? How does that stand alone control system work and how expensive would it be to go with a E4OD?
I have never heard of a transmission taking power away. It transmits power. Granted, some power is required to run the hydraulic circuit, but the clutches and planetaries are pretty efficient. The lock-up converters reduce power consumption in the fluid transfer action.
