front steer conversion
Has anyone ever converted to front steer using the beams , linkage and steering box from a 80 thru 96 front set up? I know this sounds like a weird idea but a friend and myself were talking about this at the cruise night Saturday. Kenny Nunez

you can do it but i think you can only use 80 and 81 spindles. after that they go to a ball joint non equal length beam setup. there are a lot of guys that do it out here in California. they do it for off road. front steer give you more wheel travel.

Kenny, 79 is the last year for bolt up fit. Not gonna say what experience, talent, & coins can't overcome because I'm sure someone can prove it can be done.
I would look at a body to chassis swap if using a newer setup is in the works.

Hey Guys, Thanks guys for the answers. Last night at our Ford club meeting someone suggested the same thing. Since the center of thread is the same on the front from 65 to present I may take a shot of grafting a a front clip from a late F150. I have given a lot of thought on a CV set up but do not want to lower the truck that much. I still want to be able to jump over curbs. Kenny Nunez
