Adding Rear vent windows

Has anyone ever added the rear vent windows to the excursion? How hard is it? Is the wiring there already?

My vented windows have leaked, I never use them so I decided to disconnect the switch and put a bead of clear silicone on the inside, no more leaks. Wish I had fixed windows.

I didn't know the vent windows were an option. I thought all Excursions rear side open.

Heck, Mine are fixed! It is an option in the XLT line. Standard in the Limited and Eddie Bauer.

So I have two knock out plugs in the overhead console instead of switches.

However, That is about to be rectified. I bought new switches from the dealer, and one of them will be dedicated to operating the airbags up and down. Still thinking about what to use the other one for.

I also do not have the temp/compas display on the overhead. Just a panel there that has the word 'EXCURSION' raised in it. Manual Air conditioning too. No automatic stuff.

If you remember, the Fog lights were an option for us underprivilidged peons, too. Same for running boards with lights.

Used to love mine in the summer. Motors were temperamental. Stopped working last winter. Couldn't tap on them enough to get them working again. Don't care enough to fix them. No leaks. Don't miss them. The end.

Had them on all my Expy's and now the Ex - love those windows and have never had an issue with them. Not sure how easy it would be to add them - would doubt that the wiring would be there.
