1999 inline 4 ranger- cold start issue
1999 ranger with 118,000 on the clock. It runs well, very slight vibration at idle but seems like its pretty normal for 100k+.
Just started the other day in 35-45* weather. The truck will be hard to start in the morning, literally just SPIN AND SPIN AND SPIN, if you get it started once in the day it will start and run fine all day long, no other issues.
Just that one early morning hard start. I did the obvious but am suspecting a fuel pump. Possibly loosing prime or droping pressure over night?
We have A&E and the pump DC % is 100. Which might be correct as its always running being a return fuel system. Anything else I can check with AE?
Thanks!
Is the truck up to date on all maintenance items - plugs, wires, etc?
