I wasn't sure if it was needed during the "no start". With KOEO I couldn't get an ICP pressure. The initial readings were at ECT of 190. The ECT during the no start dropped to 155.

If so - whose 0W-40 are you using?? What API ratings does it have?

Yes. I live in Southern Alberta but I work in Northern Canada. It is not uncommon to see -55 in Jan-Feb. I've been using it Nov-Feb for the last few years.

It is a CAT - arctic synthetic. I will get the ratings. I still have the 5 gallon pail in the shop. Will only take a few minutes

K , lets do it this way. Ipr % key on =14.84 , L idle =24 H idle= 40.60
icp key on = 0 L idle = 580-620 H idle =1400-1450
icv, key on=0.2. L idle = 1.0. H idle= 1._8


These are the readings you want!!!!!!

The oil I used is CAT DEO-ULS Cold weather 0W-40. API CJ-4, CJ-4 Plus. My Mistake... It isn't a synthetic oil.

That makes me sad. I'm back at work tomorrow for 14 days. Now i know what I will be doing on my next set of days off. I'll search the forum while i'm gone for everything I will need to check into. While I'm at it I'll make sure i do the stand pipes, dummy plugs, stc fitting, hpop screen. Anything else that should be upgraded while I'm that far into the motor?

My ECT and EOT are good for now. Maybe do an EGR delete anyways?

I like the oil specs!

Sorry, but I agree w/ Benny on the HPO leak!!

When you are doing the work, pull the IPR valve and inspect the screen.

Personally I would install the BPD EGR cooler instead of deleting it. My opinion is that you need to tune it if you delete the EGR system (to properly account for the change in the engine programming).
