Went out today, started truck as normal. Let warm up for two or so mi utes. Everything was fine. Left the house and got 1/4 a mile down the road and it was like there was no peddle response. Pulled into gas station let it sit the a second and then tried to go back home. The EGT was reaching 2000 when I pulled back into y house. What would cause this?
Also if someone could direct me to the trouble code ledger that would be awesome. The one link I could find on here was dead
Thanks much, let the truck sit for a couple minutes and then started it again. did not get that high at all stayed around 300*-400* sitting there, drove again and it was fine. i was looking under the hood and noticed that two of the wires to the EDGE Attitude were spliced and uncovered also touching the body. wrapped them up. think that might have been the culprit giving a false reading maybe??
anyways looked all my codes up and wanted some advice.
P0475 - exhaust pressure control valve malfunction
P0603 - ECM keep alive memory test error
P1105 - Dual alternator upper fault, have read that this is most of the time a false reading
When I swapped my turbos out and fired the truck up for the first time it romped BAD then went away. I took it to the store to have a scanner plugged into it to give me an idea of what was going on. My EGTs were around 1400 and the truck wouldnt do 40mph. I got it home and realized that the connection on my passanger side had come loose from me crawling around under the hood. I pushed it back in and all was good again... Im not saying this is your problem but it sounds a lot like the issue I had, it wont cost a dime and will only take a min of time to check. If thats not it I wouldnt be surprised but its worth a look
"Started up like normal" It doesn't sound like injectors not firing, it sounds like your EBPV stuck closed. I've had this happen twice and it's hot, it's smokey, it's gutless, and it's "hissy" at the exhaust.
