4 barrel intake question.
got a used offenhouser intake for a ford fe real cheap today. it damn cold here today so i didnt really take a close look at it till i got home. i know i should have but now its mine. at the back of the intake it a hole for some thing its about the same size as where the dizzy goes and has two studs stick out. any idea what this could be for thank you.

no the thermostat is on the front of the intake on the side.

'did a search for pics on Google and some Offy FE intakes are equipped with a blank-off plate while others have an unmachined boss. I still can't figure out what the heck it is for though....

Crankcase breather/ventilation..... interesting, eh?

The application is for high RPM use?... like 3500-8000 RPM.

Cool if ya can find one... otherwise, fab up a piece of aluminum plate and use some gasket material. EZ.

I think it is an Offy part number 6032...much cheaper to make your own...

It was originally for a draft tube and then later adapted for PCV use. After the PCV moved to the valve cover it was blocked off.
