Getting ready to do the coolant, on the '85 actually. They gave me a bum steer at the local IH shop, claiming they had a Shell pre-charged antifreeze. I get there and no, it's plain green concentrate. And they only have SCA in pints, not gallons or 1/2 gallons.
So I pull up my old receipt from Ryder Fleet, for the two 1/2 gallons of SCA I bought a few years ago, okay, about $10 per 1/2 gal. Get back on their site to order some more, and just about fainted. It's DOUBLED in price in three years.
Hell, if I'd known that was gonna happen, I coulda bought a pallet-load of the stuff, and sold it today at a handsome profit. Better than just about any high-tech stock....
Anybody know why it would have skyrocketed like that?
Fortunately, Advance Auto has finally come to this area, and they have FleetCharge at $15, minus 20% (online code), so $12 a gallon for the full strength.
