bearing job

I am doing a rear wheel bearing assembly job on a 2003 expedition. I have all the nuts/bolts off. I cannot get the damn thing to slide off no matter what I do. Any pointers at all? I dont want to beat it and scar the axle teeth.

Pull it out of the axle, lay it face down on a couple of blocks, put a driving block on the back and hit it with a sledgehammer. That is what worked for me. You can try heating the yoke to expand it.

Curious as to what you discovered as I have to change out a rear hub this weekend.

It really went ok except that the wheel hub assembly froze/rusted/fused into the steel part that holds it. I forget the name of that part lol. So I had to remove that and air hammer it out. Without that issue though it was an easy job. The hardest part is breaking free the long rusted bolts.
