What's that noise?!
I describe it as a cellphone vibrating... coming from passenger side under the hood? Sound like, as I said, a humming, vibrating, off and on- what the hellis this?! I hear it when at idle and in park

Really though. I began my trek downstate yesterday to go to a wedding today. I got a few miles from the house, and I got a single ding like the seatbelt wasn't fastened. Like yourself, I've zero clue.

I have a 2011 with the 5.0 and mine does the same thing.When I was test driving new trucks I heard this sound so I picked another truck.Now mine is doing it.I have about 20k miles and it seems to do it more now.It is a loud buzzing on the passenger side of the engine.I dont think its the fan.
Any ford tecnicians out there no what it is.

I'll keep that in mind. I don't recall intentionally saving any, but with me playing with the thing, not knowing what I was doing, I could have. If I did, and it turns out to be the "Village People, er Idiots, or Boy George, the radio will be toast!! LOL

buzzing could be related to the seemingly faulty vacuum tee on the passenger's side of the engine. controls the front hubs.

I had similar humming sound after few weeks of owning the truck and only noticable when AC was on, found out that it was some factory plastic that was not removed and somehow got sucked against the fan opening and basically vibrating when the fan was on.. may not be your issue, but just another thing to check..
