Update on "Death Wobble"
This is just an update on the "Death Wobble Strikes Again" post.
I took a chance an emailed ford company about this issue. I also added
the Ready lift product video that was in this post to them so they can see
the item that will help this issue. In my email I said that I and a lot of Ford SD truck owners are experienceing this issue and can ford look into this product and maybe work together with the company to fix this serious problem for all ford SD owners. This is the two responds I got back.
First Respond:
Hi Michael,
My name is Yvette and I am with Ford's Customer Relationship Center. I
received your email concerning the wobble issue with your 2006 Ford F-250.
I apologize for the inconvenience that the serious wobbling concern caused you. I would like to assist you regarding your concern and ready
lift product that you have researched.
I understand that you are having serious vibration issue with your vehicle, for that I recommend that your vehicle be inspected by a Ford dealership
to determine the cause of any symptoms your vehicle may be
experiencing. Also, I have reviewed if any available coverage's that may assist in your repair request. There is no active ESP to cover the part or the repair and the vehicle is outside of any applicable warranty.
For you to locate the nearest Ford dealership in your area, I suggest that you visit the Ford Owner's website at:
I emailed them back not satisified with their respond.
Second respond:
Hello Michael,
This is Glaiza and I am also from Ford's Customer Relationship Center (CRC). I received your follow-up email. I am sorry that you are not
satisfied with our previous response.
Please note that in light of some known concerns or defects, Ford stands behind its products by issuance of recalls and Customer Satisfaction Programs (CSP's). Ford and the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) work together to proactively identify areas of concern through investigation of consumer and dealer feedback. During an investigation Ford co-operates fully with NHTSA. Ford does not speculate on the outcome of any current investigation or future actions. Due to our rigorous safety standards and constant testing, not all issues result in recall or CSP's.
Your vehicle is not involved in any recalls or CSP's at this time. If a
program is announced on a specific component, Ford will notify you by mail.
If you would like to check for recall information in the future please visit:
1. Ford
2. Type in "Recall"
As previously communicated to you, we urge you to make an appointment with a Ford dealership to have the vehicle diagnosed at your earliest convenience.
I regret that I cannot offer an alternate response.
Again, thank you for contacting Ford.
Everyone, maybe they think is only me who is complaining. Maybe we should all email Ford an see if they will listen, It wouldn't hurt too try.
Email address: crcfmc@ford.com
Ford owners that have warranty, did the issue get fixed when you took it back to the service department?
Does who are out of warranty, How much did it cost to get it fixed?
I was just trying to get ford to look into the matter and see if they can make a Recall and help us all out with this issue. It just seems that Ford knows about this issue and just don't want to fix it.
If everyone want to get this issue resolve maybe we should all email ford.
They also have facebook contact, twitter. Maybe they really need to see the problem. If ALL Ford SD owners with this problem just write to them and let them know maybe they will do something. Maybe they need more then a couple of people complaining.
Good Luck to all.
I hope something good come out of this.
To the OP, I like the first response.

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
I received a letter from Ford a couple of years ago about death wobble, and it was the kind of CYA crap corporate lawyers come up with to forestall litigation. Ford has always maintained this is not a design problem, and denies any responsibility for the issue. Unfortunately it does not affect every super duty on the road or they would be forced to take action.
When I called my local 4x4 shop to schedule an alignment, the owner knew immediately what I was talking about when I told him about the problem. It may not happen to all F series trucks, but it happens enough to be common knowledge in the repair world.
