How would you hide the flow of fuel from the tank above it? Not to mention the hot exhaust system adjacent to the river of gas! Try installing a Pinto fuel filler behind the bumper.
My buddies excursion has a shaved gas door, and the filler neck was relocated to the wheel well. Doesn't work too well since the filler neck is like level so the gas is hard to get through there into the tank. Considering on mine just putting the filler inside behind where the spare tire was. Like basically right behind where it is stock, just facing the interior, and not the outside. Any ideas if this would work? Not concerned with the smell of gas before anyone mentions it lol.
I like the roof-top idea, but you'll need a ladder to fill-up.
Unless you can stand up on the 2nd row door sill?
Behind the taillight but have it come out inside/beside the edge of barn door
(kind of facing the pass side, but beside the hinge in the bard door opening)
Now you can haul stuff inside without worrying about filling up.
The current trend here in FL is to seal over the door openings and windows.
You get the best shaved look possible - a completely smooth side.
Then you won't need to worry about where you put fuel.
Sorry couldn't resist...
