I have a balancer off a 360. I was wondering if these are neutral balanced. Mine looks pretty uniform except there is one spot with an indent. I don't know if that throws it off balance and would like to know.
And my push rod question, I plan on running adjustable rockers but don't know what length or style push rods to get. I don't know if it really makes a difference since they're adjustable but I need to know. I was looking at these BBF Shaft Mount Roller Rockers Arms Ford FE 390 427 428 | eBay
I got a set of those same rockers. They seem like real nice pieces. prolly just wont last as long as nice ones. Haven't run em yet tho. I got an adjustable pushrod that I can set, and bring to the machine shop and they will measure, and order pushrods for me.
May I ask a question here? I have a 352 with the small one piece dampener on it. I need to add another pulley, so can I use a dampener off a later style fe that the pulley bolts to? Thanks, John
330-390's and 427's are internally balanced. 406,410,&428 externally balanced.
For the pushrods I do not recall the part number but its a comp cams magnum pushrods. Ball at the lifter side and cup on the rocker side.
Rockers are something you don't want to break. Yes the price is right but a good set of Dove or Harland Sharp rockers are money well spent. And don't forget end stands. It's cheap insurance from Precision Oil Pumps.
Not sure about the balancer question, but on the pushrods I ordered mine from Smith Brothers. index You will need the length, size, etc when you order, but they are quick to ship and make an awesome product. You won't be worrying about that part of your motor breaking anytime soon. They aren't cheap though, but for the quality it's hard to beat. JMO

406's were internally balanced. Last time I checked Comp stopped making those pushrods.

Thanks for the correction I was having a brain fart.
I just bought the pushrods about 6-8 months ago so if it was a recent cancled product line then I didn't know.
