Tuner and chip

Guys/Gals,

I have done a good bit of reading but am still not completely sure I understand what all is needed when installing a chip on an Ex. Looking at the edge tuner or bully dog. My question is are both of those chips integrated in the tuner? I cant seem to find the answer to this. Thanks again.

They are not chips. They are custom tunes loaded onto the tuner which in turn reprogram the trucks computer.

I found out that the chip that is currently in is a delta force chip

Mind if I ask how you narrowed your choices to the Edge and Bully Dog, and why you omitted the more standard choices of a custom tuner?

I wasn't omitting, it probably has more to do with ignorance on my part. You don't know what you don't know. It looks like I currently have a delta force tuning chip in that was from previous owner. Toreador gave me the name of a guy in College Station to take it to and have reprogrammed.
