After driving around in the fields a bit only goin through 1st or second since it has no brakes the clutch pedal was just below the brake pedal when warmed up. If i pull on pedal it pops up to the stopper under the dash. Is this a sign of the clutch goin out? If it makes a difference this truck hasen't been used in 4 years and i just got it running.
I am experiencing the same problem, only mine does it all the time; the clutch pedal does not return all the way up to the stopper under the dash. Any thoughts?
the issue im having is more this way- before i could've sworn it was just above brake pedal and then after some driving around and truck warmed up it was below brake pedal
So, how difficult is this to replace? Any thoughts or tips before I jump in to replace it?

IMO, replace with a new spring, user may not be any better than what you have now, could be worse.

It's a 1979 F100 300 I-6 with a 3 speed on the column. Would you happen to know the procedure in which to replace it? I was hoping my dad and I could do it ourselves. Seeing as though not many repair shops in my area work on trucks of this age, I'm very limited on options to fix it.
Try adjusting the threaded rod on the equalizer bar. I've been where you are, and after going through 3 springs the adjustment rod finally made the difference
