Ok, here goes. 1965 F250 CS with original AM radio. It just seems to happen in the morning, haven't really noticed it any other time but when ever I turn on the turn signals the light on the radio dims with the flashes of the turn signal and can also here it through the speaker. I know its an old radio and I'm not looking to rebuild it either, just wonder if there might be a ground issue or something else that someone has worked on before. Just don't want it to get any worse than what it is.
+1 on the ground. They used to make noise suppressors for those old radios. I haven't used one for so long I don't recall what they were called. You may want to look in that direction.

i agree with john but that is old tec thinking
new think do you have 1 wire alt?

I know that turn signals and radio are originally designed to be on the same 14A circuit, but in the absence of other ideas, maybe just temporarily for troubleshooting purposes, how 'bout taking the radio power off of that circuit and running a separate one of its own? That way you can see if the problem migrates or goes away. Did the problem start just recently? Can you think of any electrical changes that happened between the time it worked OK and now? Maybe run an additional new, clean ground wire? Good luck!

Well haven't had a chance to look at it this weekend, but this morning I noticed that the ALT light was dimly lity when my blower motor was on low and got even brighter when turned to high. Also when I turn my turn signals on it would dimly flash with the turn signal. So is it the alt or the regulator or both?
I think it could still be a ground problem.
To make sure the alt is putting out enough juice, check voltage across the battery terminals while the truck is running, and then with blower motor in high & low.
if readings are ~14v, i'd be cleaning all the grounds.
hey i have a 83 f100 ranger with a 300 6 cylinder. the problem is that it will not crank but i hear a click and i can get under the truck and start it by jumping the starter with another truck and it runs fine. but it will not start with the key or by jumping the solenoid. I'm thinking its a wiring problem any help plz
Well the problem is gone, gone for good! I was sitting in a parking lot and a guy walked up to me and asked me if I would sell it to him and I said sure, so I threw out a number and he said fine . He gave me a deposit right there and now it's his. So thank you everybody for there help. Now to find another one either a slick or a bump for my daily driver.
