Was wondering what websites you guys buy your parts from?
Looking to replace my side mounted fuel tank and fuel lines to be exact. I have not come across a direct replacement for the tank yet. It was on a 74.5 F250 Crew 2x4 with 460 auto.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.
I tend to use NOS parts so my most often used suppliers are either Ford dealers, Green Sales, Parts International or JST Automotive.
For reproductions I prefer Dennis Carpenter. LMC is way down on my list of suppliers. Usually you can find whatever they have cheaper someplace else and their quality is a "crap shoot".
I'll see if I can locate any NOS tanks and let you know.
Fuel tank, left inside frame rail. Use in addition to std. in-cab tank
Fits 73-76 F250/350 crew cab
C5TZ-9002-A
Unfortunately I couldn't locate any dealer or obsolete supplier that had one.
Thank you for all the great info Mikeo0... and thank you for taking the time to search for me. I will check out those companies.
NumberDummy thank you for the info too. That will help me expand my search. Why would he buy a rusted out one? Mine is all rusted out too, algae has taken over and the gas that was in it is closer to green slime then gas. The float had completely rotted away.
I figured it might be better to start new then it would be to rebuild and have a chance of having fuel issues down the road.
C5TZ-9002-A also used in 1965/77 P Series Parcel Delivery. So many bakeries (like Frito-Lay) used them, they are called "bread trucks."
Front doors slide back/forth.

FTE member F250GH bought the lastavailable NOS C5TZ-9002-A tank .. to replace the rusted out tank in his 1966 F250 Good Humor Ice Cream Truck.
Dealer in Arkansas had it. I located it, passed the source/phone number along, he bought it.
Mike and I are about the only FTE members that look up the part numbers...then search for NOS obsolete parts, post the sources/phone numbers that have them.
No member of FTE was doing this until I joined (11/04/2006). No one was decoding VIN's either, members had to rely on crap multiple error/omission FTE VIN decoders that aren't worth two cents!
Oh, I guess I read the post wrong about the rusty tank.
Mike and Number's how did you guys find the part number for the tank? Is there a website for that or you guys have a parts number manual?
Hio Silver that is one heck of a list, wow. Thank you. I have used a few of those in the past and heard of a couple others, but nothing to amount you have used. Awesome man.
I find it amazing that I went through about 5 pages of search engine for old ford parts and haven't seen the ones you guys have told me about in this post.
Mike & I have the 1973/79 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog, available on a CD from hipoparts.com. Mike's using the CD catalog, can scan and post pics from it. I'm using microfiche.
I also have most of the FoMoCo car/truck parts catalogs from 1928 thru 2001, O-S-I (Obsolete-Supercede-Interchange) & Master Cross Reference Catalogs.
I see you're a CA resident: Blue Oval Truck Parts located in Anaheim, National Parts Depot in Ventura (2 other locations in NC & FL). Here's some more CA sources:
The Truck & Car Shop: Orange / Early Ford Store: San Dimas / C & G Ford Parts: Escondido / John's F Fun Hundred's: Corona / Sacramento Vintage Ford.
Moonpie you are off to a great FTE start you have just met and interacted with 2 of the most highspeed Ford truck parts guru's on here and got a great list from HIO Silver.
As far as a repo side tank.....well I happen to have a used OEM plastic one off my 79 reg cab, interested? PM me.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about Sacramento Vintage Ford. See what happens when you get old, you start to forget important stuff. I'll look into the other places too, thank you.
Thanks 77&79F250, that side tank looks like it could be the replacement for it.
On side note, I braved the weather and scrounged around the local Pick and Pulls today and saw about dozen late 60's to 70's trucks in various condition. I however did not see one side tank that was like mine and only one of them was a 4x4 too. It has been about 15 years since I been to one and did not recall that they punched holes in all the gas tanks. Shame because there was a rear mount one that looked almost new too.

I didn't forget it and I'm 68. And...I've never been there, just to the Towe Ford Museum (since renamed), CA RR museum, Old Sacramento and to a hardware store that I found boxes of original pre-war Colt SAA parts.
Look for a 1965/77 P Series Parcel Delivery-same fuel tank.
