I have the Retro-Solution Digital kit on my 2005. While the low beams look great, the high beams are not much brighter...Is this a standard problem with the after market HID's? I need a much brighter high beam !

Are you running 55wt or 35wt? Either way, the problem is more the headlamp housing, than the HID kit. The RS hi/lo kits use a solenoid to move the lamp just a bit to alter the beam pattern. The amount of light output from the lamps is the same in hi or low. The lamp doesn't turn off when switching hi/lo, it just moves, so warm up time isn't an issue.

The only real solutions, try re-aiming what you have, installing projector housings into the factory headlights, buying aftermarket replacement projector headlight housings, or adding additional axillary lighting.

 

mine are pretty good, but i have the 02-04 heads. but i added 4 100W lights to the front for alittle extra

 

I played with the aim last night.. Made it alot better..The highs are still pretty much useless...but i love the look.
