low coolant temp problem..
Seems to be one problem after another. Runnin down the highway at 70 and I happen to notice the water temp is only holding steady at about 155 degrees. Usually 195.. pulled over and degas bottle is same lever as always, no leaks. Pulled dip stuck, oil looks normal.. any ideas?

Sounds like possibly a thermostat issue. If the cooling fan clutch was stuck on you would probably notice the roar.

I was also thinking the T stats.. I didnt think to check the oil temp.. I stopped at the truck stop and let it sit til it was about 150 degrees and poped both coolant caps. No real preasure at that time and the levels were good. Took off again and the temp held 190-192 the rest of the way.. Does a guy need to run a winter front in cold weather to help these things stay warm maybe?

Mine will be at temp within 5 minutes of being locked in OD.
No matter what temp.

so looking into winter fronts and have only came across the ford fabric covers, are there any other options. now when towing do they get to warm with the cover on? looking to go snowmobiling in a few weeks and want to make sure the engine is up to temp but not too hot. looks like the fronts also help in preventing freezing up the air filter in snowy conditions which i hope to be driving in.... (need more snow). Now pulling a 4place enclosed trailer on interstate would that be too much for a cover on?> do the fabric covers open part way?

I bought the ford piece. Never had a problem warming up, even in 50 degree days. Changed both of my thermostats and havent had the low temp problem again. Stays at 200 now. Ive even removed my winter front and now its freezing out side.
