Body Lift Gap Out Back

I just put on a 3" body lift, what can I do about the gap below the tail gate now? Do the make rear bumper brackets that raise it up like the front?

you should have enough room on your factory brackets to drill new holes. if not you can just make them or cut a strip of rubber and cover the hole. for my gap i bought a rear replacement bumper for 50 bucks and got it welded on to fit the body lift

I just drilled new holes for the rear one. The front i just made brackets. The brackets they give you are just pieces of steel with holes in therm anyways.

I have an IDEA, take off that body lift and improve your suspension if you want more lift

alright man, too bad some people cant afford a suspension lift, so deal with the fact that a body lift is all we can afford at this point...

I am hoping that you could realize that it would be more advantageous to save a few hundred more dollars for your suspension, than to be impatient and put on a body lift. Body lifts do nothing but allow clearance for larger tires, yes they do "lift" your truck but only the body, there are no positive offroad features about a body lift besides the fact that you can run larger tires, but why run larger tires on stock suspension that is unless you are building a street truck

Body lifts do nothing but allow clearance for larger tires,
some people thats enough

some people dont have the money, and it would take entirely too wrong

i dont see a point in spending 13X as much as i did for a better lift, when my truck does fine everywhere i have been so far...

look, some people set themselves a budget before they start, not wanting to get in over your heads... i have a part time job right now, only working 13 or so hours a week

thats 250 a month..... you know how long it would have taken to save 1300 compared to the 100 it took for the body lift?

That's EXACTLY why I have a body lift on my Bronco. I have always wanted a huge suspension lift with even bigger tires to match but, I am a married man (no kids though) with a mortgage and a financed 2003 for the lady. With all of our bills we live check to check. I don't see how it would be possible for me to buy a $1500 lift. I had to settle for a $100 3inch body lift from the Summit Racing catalog, the cheapest (or next to) 15X10s I could find, those black Daytonas and a set of 33X12X15 Thornbird TSLs, so I splurged a little. Sure I could do it if I was single, but I love life the way it is.
