What gear ratio??

What gear ratio??

I am going to run 35" boggers on my truck and would like to know what gear ratio is best? I do not do too much driving in town.It gets driven mostly on the trails and I pull my trailer to go camping/wheelin' .On occasion I take her in to town .I am currently running 33's w/3.50's but pullin the trailer sucks......Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I would say at least 4.10, and probably 4.56.

What do you have for a tranny and motor? I would say you will probably be happier with 4.56 than 4.10. They will make a huge difference when your offroad and have to get through some nasty terrain.

I am running a FE360 and NP435/Dana21 as of now.But soon I will be running a 460c.i. and NP435/NP205.

I already answered this in the off road forum, so heres the short version: at least 4:56s and probably 4:88s .

What gear ratio??

i'm running 35's and just put in 4.56's, was running 3.08's. Major difference in get-up and go. Lose some top end speed but who really cares and my MPG got better.

. The beast is practically unstoppable now in the dirt!
