I'm guessing you're talking about oil since it's the back side of the engine?
I agree, I would take that in and let the techs look it over.

Stock Fuel Filter is a round cylinder on the top driver side of the engine. It's black plastic and about 3" Diam. Could that be it?

The fuel filter is cracked. Would get a new one and install it. There's a video on how to do this here.

I have never heard of this fuel filter cracking.
Personally, I wouldn't even start it now since air can get in.

How many miles since your filters were last changed?
If 15,000 or close, may as well change them both (engine mounted and DFCM at the frame rail).

After replacement of one or both, purge the fuel system per the manual.

Is it this area? This is the only picture I have with me and this is the engine fuel filter removed from its cradle.

Exactly!!! I started smelling diesel today have probably driven 50 miles since. I'll not until I get it changed. After seeing YouTube video I think I can change that. THANKS SOOOOO MUCH for all the replies.
